Fresh paint--A post for Seetin Sibs

Sorry for the boring topic but I wanted to share a few photos of Moms house after a total reprinting . I don't have any of the basement which is probably the most dramatic..Mom would be happy to know that a sweet family of 6 is now settling in. They will live there while they work on restoring a farm house ( Larson place). These are just taken with my phone so hope you get some idea of how it looks. I hope to get a picture of Lance and Cori and their kids but they are kind of busy. I am heaving a sigh of relief--and feeling blessed!
I have new carpet ordered for the living room that should be done a a couple weeks. Still waging a battle with the washing machine but will give it one more service call from Jerome. If that doesn't work, we will call time of death. I have several options for good used machines, Lukas has one and theres a good one here at the school. Lance and Cori also have one that they may just put in.
Because I did this from my phone, I can't put in captions, but when you get to the picture of the bed in the little room, notice the headboard. It looked so horrible, I thought it should be burned, but gave it a heavy dose of lemon oil and WOW, not perfect, but a great improvement.
Also, Vaunda gets the credit for the extreme makeover of the kitchen cupboards and removing the stained glass contact paper from the glass blocks around the door.

Endings and beginnings

Partaking of the final garden feast.
Kent and Sam cleaned off the garden last weekend and threw everything over the fence for Gene's cattle. It was still there Monday and Tuesday and I was afraid that Gene had moved the cattle back home.  But when I went by this morning, they were happily munching away and I think one of them may have even winked at me. He probably remembers me from the copious amounts of frozen apples I fed them a few weeks ago. I cleaned out Mom's freezer and it didn't take them long to recognize my little red car and come running when I slowed down.

 New Friends
This morning I heard Ms Bea's squeaky alarm quack ( the one she uses when a grand child tries to collect her egg before she's ready) and here was the problem. There were a few ruffled feathers but I think they are going to get along fine. Little Thing lets us pet him now and shyly enters the house for brief intervals. I think the cold weather may hasten his socialization progress.

My weekend project

I spent the weekend cleaning at the school building. It is a daunting task but I am determined to get our accumulated rooms full of crap under control. I decided that a good place to start was my back door entrance. It was an overgrown jungle. Kent, thanks for the petunias. I want you to see them

Surprise

Our 95% feral cat affectionately referred to as Thing One presented us with her progeny . Apparently a singleton .. As we suspected. Unfortunately she now has an accomplice stalking the bird feeder. A habit that irks Sam no end.
